It can be intimidating to have people come into your personal space for the first time. Below is a detailed explanation of our process so that you can confidently know what to expect from start to finish.
1. We recommend starting with a consultation to discuss your goals and create a plan for the project. Consultations are a great opportunity to meet your lead organizer, get a better understanding of the project timeline and process, and receive a cost estimate. During this meeting, we can also take measurements if necessary for any products needed.
2. If you prefer, you can bypass the consultation and proceed directly to your first organizing session, where we will dive right in and begin. Our organizing sessions typically last between 3 and 5 hours. You are welcome to be as involved as you wish, whether that means working alongside us or popping in and out to provide input and answer any questions we may have.
3. In your session, the lead organizer will guide the team as needed. Our organizing approach follows the SMART method, with sorting being the initial step. To assist with the process, we will provide basic tools such as folding tables, sticky notes, garbage bags, tape, etc.
4. If you would like to declutter, we would be more than happy to assist you! You are not obligated to part with any items, but we can offer guidance and support as we help sort your items. As part of our service, we are able to take your donations (anything that can fit in our vehicles) to a local charity. We always put donations in our signature blue bags so that we can distinguish them from trash.
5. The next step is to organize your belongings into their designated places in a neat and orderly fashion. We repurpose and reuse existing containers or can purchase new containers if you have a specific style or look in mind. Please note that there is an additional cost for new containers, but we only charge for the actual cost of the containers plus shopping time.
6. We aim to create a lasting impact by teaching you the skills necessary to upkeep your newly organized space. Additionally, we provide organizing maintenance services to help reset your space or make any necessary improvements.
7. When you are ready to rebook an organizing session, please text (385) 215-8295 and we will get you on the schedule as soon as possible. Two weeks is typically how far out we are booked, so keep that in mind, but we’ll always try our best to accommodate an urgent need.
